Job Summary/Basic Function

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: Provide customer service to Dining Services guests primarily with replenishment of all food and beverage items and preparation of fresh foods such as sandwiches and salads. Also to provide services of cleaning, dishwashing, light custodial, replenishment of supplies and clean dishes, as needed.

This position is responsible for the replenishment of hot and cold food, salad bar items, desserts, beverages, condiments and supplies working in one or several dining “stations”. The position is responsible to keep the servery and dining areas orderly and clean for guests. The position is responsible to assist in other service areas as needed including the dishroom and custodial duties. Position is responsible to maintain adequate food levels during service times. Position is responsible for food safety and sanitation.

- Incumbent will be physically able to replenish food items including various large, hot, heavy and/or cumbersome containers (hot pans, soup warmers, bagged milk and soda, dish racks, etc.).
- Incumbent will have customer service skills to work directly with all guests, providing for their needs and requests in a timely an appropriate manner. Incumbent will also be skilled in operating and replenishing service equipment such as beverage and condiment dispensers.
- Incumbent will have communication skills to give directions to student employees and work with other staff to ensure that proper procedures are being followed, and be able to engage our customers with an attitude of willingness and dedication to serve.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualified applicants will have at least 3-6 months related experience.
